Privacy Policy

Effective August 13, 2026

This policy explains how Strova LLC handles information from our public website and from employers and hiring-team members who use Strova.

1. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to the Strova public website and to the employer side of the Strova service, including employer and hiring-team accounts, organizations, team invitations, open roles, job descriptions, hiring criteria, and team settings (together, the “Service”).

This policy does not apply to a candidate's participation in an interview or other candidate-facing experience. Candidate information and the candidate experience will be covered by a separate privacy notice. This policy should not be read as describing how Strova handles candidate interview information.

2. Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account and contact information. Your name, work email address, login information, and other details you provide when you create an account, request early access, contact us, or communicate with us.
  • Organization and team information. Organization names, team-member details, invitations, roles, permissions, and account settings.
  • Customer Content. Information an employer or hiring team submits to the Service, such as job descriptions, open roles, hiring criteria, evaluation materials, and team settings. Uploading Customer Content does not make it public. Its visibility is limited to the Service and the people your organization authorizes, subject to the disclosures described below.
  • Billing and subscription information. If you start a free trial or paid plan, Stripe collects and processes payment information. Strova may receive related billing details, such as your plan, transaction status, billing contact, and transaction identifiers. Stripe handles payment-card details.
  • Communications. Messages and information you provide when you ask for support, respond to a survey, or otherwise communicate with us.
  • Website, device, and usage information. When you use our website or Service, we may receive information such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages or routes viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps, and diagnostic or activity logs. Our public website uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand website traffic and performance.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Create and administer accounts, organizations, teams, roles, and permissions.
  • Process Customer Content and provide hiring-workflow and AI features requested by employer users.
  • Send service messages, invitations, security notices, support responses, and other communications.
  • Administer free trials and paid plans, process payments, and keep billing and tax records.
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot problems, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect Strova, our customers, and the Service.
  • Analyze use of our public website and understand interest in Strova.
  • Comply with law, enforce our agreements, and establish or defend legal claims.

Strova processes user and Customer Content to provide, support, and secure the Service—not to build or train advertising profiles or advertising models. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share personal information for targeted advertising.

4. AI features

When an employer user asks Strova to perform an AI-powered task, relevant instructions, Customer Content, and generated output may be processed through Vercel AI Gateway and OpenAI as needed to provide that feature. Employer users should submit only information they are authorized to use for that purpose.

5. How we disclose information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

  • Within your organization. Account information and Customer Content may be available to the administrators and team members your organization authorizes. Your organization controls its users, roles, and submitted content.
  • Service providers. We use providers to operate the Service, including Vercel for hosting and web analytics, Resend for service email, a hosted database provider, Vercel AI Gateway and OpenAI for AI features, and Stripe for free trials, paid plans, and payment processing. They process information for us in connection with the services they provide.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with law or valid legal process; protect rights, safety, and security; investigate fraud or abuse; or enforce our agreements.
  • Professional advisers. We may disclose information to lawyers, accountants, auditors, insurers, and similar advisers when reasonably necessary for their work.
  • Business transactions. Information may be disclosed in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections where applicable.
  • With your direction or consent. We may disclose information when you or your organization directs us to do so.

6. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service and for the purposes described in this policy, including as needed for billing, tax, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Retention depends on the nature of the information and whether an organization account remains active.

7. Security

We use safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

You may update certain account information through the Service or ask us to access, correct, or delete information associated with you. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional rights concerning your personal information. To make a request, email privacy@strova.com. We may need to verify your identity and, for organization-managed information, coordinate with your organization.

You may opt out of promotional email by using the unsubscribe link in the message. We may still send non-promotional messages needed to operate or secure your account and the Service.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the website or employer-side Service, please contact us so we can review and address it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices, the Service, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
